Today, the Security Council holds a meeting on Iraq

BAGHDAD, The United Nations Security Council will hold a session on Iraq on Wednesday.

"The meeting will discuss the situation in Iraq and will be held at 10 am New York time (5 pm Baghdad time)," a UNAMI statement said.

"It is expected that the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubic, will brief the Council shortly after the start of the meeting."

"The Special Representative will brief the Council on developments in Iraq and UNAMI," it said.
