Karbala, A joint security force arrested /37 /defendants in Karbala, in pre-emptive operations in the security plans for the visit on the day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha.
Spokesman for the Karbala police headquarters and the installations, Col. Alaa Al-Ghanmi, said that joint security forces operating in the province have launched a major pre-emptive operation and a field survey throughout the governorate, which resulted in the arrest of 37 accused in accordance with various legal and criminal in the governorate including desert areas, villages and rural areas.
"The Karbala Fighting Crime also revealed a mysterious murder and the arrest of the perpetrators as well as the arrest of a robbery gang whose members confessed to a number of robberies and the seizure of immoral vehicles during the installation of temporary checkpoints and through strict inspection."
"The arrest was carried out in accordance with judicial warrants and based on accurate intelligence information," al-Ghanami said. "All the accused are referred to the competent authorities for the purpose of completing legal proceedings against them."
