The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Lebanon held a ceremony marking the launch of 'Joussour1' initiative (an Arabic for Bridges), at the residence of Saudi Minister Plenipotentiary Charge d'Affaires Walid al-Bukhari, in presence of Caretaker Social Affairs Minister, Pierre Bou Assi, Caretaker Telecommunications Minister, Jamal Jarrah, the Ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as other official figures and dignitaries.
Minister Bou Assi lauded in a speech the historical and friendly relations between Lebanon and the KSA, adding that the meeting organized by the embassy "is marked by cultural and human Arab wealth."
For his part, Boukhary said that the KSA would always work for peace, stability, and prosperity in Lebanon, while being committed to the development of a culture of moderation in the face of extremism. "The KSA will remain as you have always known it throughout history: a fortress against the evil of terrorism," the Saudi diplomat said.
He explained that "Joussour 1" initiative would consolidate stability and prosperity in Lebanon, as it ever remian a bridge of peace.
