GACA investment opportunities in operation and construction of airports presented to British companies in London

London, The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) organized in cooperation with the British-Saudi Business Council a meeting with the major British companies in the field of civil aviation to discuss the specialized activities in the aviation sector in the Kingdom and review the possible investment opportunities in the civil aviation sector in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030, available in this area.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the concerned departments of GACA, in addition to the participation of more than 60 representatives of the national and British companies specialized in airport operation, technology systems, aviation services, building and construction, navigation systems, hospitality and free market.

The Chairman of GACA Abdul Hakim Mohammed Al-Tamimi delivered a speech at the meeting during which he welcomed the attendees and reviewed the investment opportunities in the aviation sector and the air transport market in the Kingdom, especially with the growing air traffic in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia atmosphere and infrastructure projects including building, construction and development of airports and opportunities to operate airports and provide advanced services and consultancy in the fields of civil aviation in Saudi Arabia.

Tamimi stressed the keenness of the GACA to strengthen the pillars of the civil aviation industry in the Kingdom and harness the required capabilities to keep pace with the growth in air transport in the Kingdom and attract international companies to invest in airport infrastructure and services provided to its users, citing the the Kingdom is a global logistics center linking three continents, and expected to receive as many as 30 million Umrah (minor Hajj) performers by 2030.
