HH Nasser bin Hamad attends Camel Festival

Taif, His Majesty the King's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed the first edition of the Saudi Crown Prince Camel Festival, stressing its importance in promoting a long-standing heritage sport.

The debut 2018 edition was held under the patronage of the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa made the statement as he attended today the closing ceremony of the Saudi Crown Prince Camel Festival, which was held at the Al-Taif ground.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa expressed delight at attending the closing ceremony, hailing outstanding organization, preparations and capabilities which ensured the success of the festival.

He underscored the importance of the festival which highlighted aspects of the GCC, Arab and Islamic heritage, hailing the Saudi-led strenuous efforts to promote cultural and sport heritage which represent a cornerstone of the identity and history.

In the statement, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa wished Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity, ley by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

The Saudi Crown Prince Camel Festival is the biggest of its kind in the Middle East, with allocated prizes totalling SR45 million. More than 10,000 camels took part in the 40-day festival from Saudi Arabia, the GCC states and Arab countries.
