The 11th edition of the Lebanese Wine Festival "Vinifest" will be inaugurated upcoming October 3 at the Beirut's Hippodrome, under the patronage and presence of the Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Gebran Bassil.
The festival, the largest wine event in the Middle East, will last from October 3 till 6th.
"Vinifest" organizers hope the Festival would contribute to the revitalization of the touristic movement by attracting tens of thousands of Lebanese and foreign visitors and to create an opportunity to encourage Lebanese industry by highlighting the advancement of the wine industry.
The festival offers visitors the opportunity to taste Lebanese wines, old and new, and local food products from different regions of Lebanon and beyond.
It is worth-mentioning that Switzerland will be the guest of honor this year.
Sagesse University, in partnership with the Hotel School in Lausanne, will organize tasting sessions for Swiss wines at the Hippodrome on October 4, 5 and 6.
In parallel, a number of events will be taking place at the Swiss Embassy pavilion, including a Swiss wine tasting sessions and two musical concerts.
The festival is held each year in October, with the number of visitors exceeding 30 thousand.
