Manama, More than 50 government employees specialised in financial affairs and accounting have passed the 'Public Finance Programme' organised by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA).
Ebrahim Abul, Assistant. Undersecretary for Resources and Information, said that 16 participants received the 'Basic Certificate in Public Finance', which is centred on a number of topics, such as state budget preparation, internal and external auditing, and the legislative framework of the financial sector in Bahrain.
38 others received the 'Professional Certificate in Public Finance', which is focused on means of reaching optimal exploitation of available financial recourses, and the financial aspects of accomplishing government projects.
Taha Faqihi, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs, commended vocational training as an indispensable requirement for a qualified financier. He highlighted that Bahrain has always been a pioneering actor in the region in organising courses dedicated to public finance management.
