House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Monday welcomed at his Ain Tineh residence World Food Programme Executive Director David Beasley, with talks reportedly touching on cooperation prospects with Lebanon.
Speaker Berri then received the new Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon, Paolo Pinto, who came on a courtesy visit.
Discussions reportedly dwelt on the bilateral relations and the Brazilian President's visit to Lebanon on November 20.
Later, Berri met respectively with outgoing the Venezuelan ambassador to Lebanon, Souad Karam, and Uruguay's Ambassador, Marta Pizzanelli, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of their diplomatic missions in Lebanon.
On the other hand, Berri received a letter from Swiss President Alain Berset.
The Speaker also cabled Swedish Speaker of Parliament, Andreas Norlen, congratulating him on his election.
