Sharm Al-Sheikh, On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, HM's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa met, attended the opening of the World Youth Forum, being held in Sharm Al-Sheikh under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
He took pride at attending the world youth gathering, on behalf of HM the King, stressing royal keenness on on the vital youth role in promoting peace and achieving development.
He pointed out the royal patronage of the first edition of the youth festival to achieve sustainable development goals, recently held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed President Al-Sisi's patronage of the World Youth Forum, commending Egypt's pivotal and strategic role in the Arab region and leverage on the international arena.
He described the forum as an important forum to strengthen the role of the youth and provide them the opportunity to take part in making sustainable development decisions, towards promoting global peace and achieving the 2030 sustainable development goals.
In a statement on the sidelines of the forum opening ceremony, he said that youth represent the future and the real asset and the driving engine for all countries in the world to promote sustainable development and promote global peace.
Open-minded youth mindset represents the successful strategy to draw up the coming phase for a more peaceful and secure in all fields in the world, he said.
He stressed his keenness on participating the forum in support of youth movements in the world, adding that youth now have the opportunity to make radical changes in the future and contribute to global development and peace.
