Beijing, President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China received here today His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and the Chinese President held a meeting at the beginning of which His Royal Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to His Excellency while the Chinese President conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
During the meeting, they reviewed the Saudi-Chinese strategic relations, the cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, the developments on the region and in the international arenas, and the efforts made towards them.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince affirmed the effectiveness of the Saudi-Chinese coordination on the economic level, stressing that the trade exchange between the two countries increased by 32% last year, pointing out that Council is abile to create more opportunities for the two countries.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince considered the Arabian Peninsula as a major part of the Silk Road of the Chinese President's initiative. The Silk Road initiative and China's strategic attitudes are very much in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, stressing to face all the challenges facing the two countries.
His Royal Highness noted the deep relations between Saudi Arabia and China, pointing out that they are old relations, and extends to thousands of years between the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula and the Chinese people.
