Riyadh, The General Authority for Meteorology and Environment Protection (GAMEP) and Saudi Press Agency (SPA) launched today the first air quality bulletin in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah.
The bulletin's broadcast will continue every day until the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in order to inform the Umrah performers and visitors of air quality, on a regular basis, according to the highest standards.
Today's report revealed that the atmosphere, in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah, is healthy.
This step comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the two sectors in order to exchange experiences to serve the public interest, with the support of SPA President Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein and GAMEP President Dr. Khalil bin Musleh Al-Thaqafi.
The bulletin will be posted every day on the official website of the SPA, the website of the GAMEP and their official accounts in the social media, with high quality indicators to measure air quality, in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah, in accordance with the Executive Regulations for Air Quality Standards of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, adopted in 2008.
