Minister of Telecommunications, Mohammed Choucair, received this Thursday the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, with talks reportedly touching on ways to bolster economic cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Choucair praised Bukhari's distinguished role and efforts to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.
"Cooperation with the Kingdom is ongoing," he said, noting that Saudi Arabia has "always stood by Lebanon in the good times and the bad, and contributed greatly to the stability, progress and prosperity of our country."
Strongly condemning the repeated attacks on the Kingdom, he stressed "Lebanon stands by its side" and wishes is "lasting stability and prosperity."
Bukhari, in turn, expressed appreciation for "the special role played by Minister Choucair at various levels, especially the strengthening of economic cooperation between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia."
"Lebanon will remain in the heart of the Saudis," he maintained.
