Muscat, The 27th Meeting of GCC Ministers of Planning and Development was held at the headquarters of the Advisory Board of GCC Supreme Council in Muscat today.
The meeting was chaired by Oman's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Planning Council (SCP), Dr. Ali bin Mas'oud Al-Sunaidy.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to planning and development, such as the developed comprehensive development strategy and the demographic reality report.
The meeting dealt with the subject of knowledge-based economy, competitiveness indicators in international reports, indicators of the sustainable development goals of the GCC countries and continuous implementation of the general framework of the population strategy.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the preparatory procedures in the implementation of the unified registration census of the GCC countries, to be implemented in 2020.
