Singapore, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Haytham bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohali reaffirmed that the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) pays great attention to the efforts of the future industry, in anticipation to find technical solutions to enhance citizen's life and meet his needs, in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030.
This came during participating in the "Innovation Week" organized by Singapore, within the "Smart Nation" initiative launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information of Singapore.
He said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has successfully launched a national digital agenda for digitizing the country, by building a strong digital infrastructure that has increased the mobile Internet speed to four times, surpassing the global average, increased fiber network coverage by 50% to more than 1 million additional houses, and provided 100% access to the Internet, in remote areas, which contributed to the development of e-government.
Henceforth, the situation in KSA, for the time being, is possibly enabling to issue commercial license within a maximum of 24 hours, renew the passport in 5 minutes and issue a digital authorization, almost less than in 10 minutes.
