New York, A diplomatic representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations today highlighted his country's efforts to support culture and sustainable development and exploit science, technology, innovation and developmental cooperation with medium-income countries.
This came in a speech delivered by Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Rais, Second Secretary, who is member of the Saudi Arabian permanent delegation to the UN, at the Second Committee Meeting held during the 74th general assembly, to discuss the broad globalization issue which contains support for culture and sustainable development and exploitation of science, technology, innovation and developmental cooperation with medium-income countries.
At the outset, Al-Rais expressed the Kingdom's support for the statement issued by the Palestinian delegation on behalf of the 77th group and China on the issue.
Al-Rais told his listeners that his country pays great attention to culture and cultural legacy as a force for change and a pillar of its vision 2030.
