Baghdad, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif confirmed that: There are no messages from Saudi Arabia about a peace initiative in the region.
He said in a statement while attending the security conference in Munich, Germany: We wrote to Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain and Oman for a peace initiative in the Arab Gulf, but some did not respond.
On the secret communications between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Zarif said: There are no messages from the kingdom on any peace initiative.
He pointed out that Saudi Arabia and the UAE want to have tension in the region.
Zarif stressed that there are countries in the Gulf region that have responded to the Hormuz peace initiative proposed by Iran, including Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar and Oman.
