Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Affirms Supporting Medical Products Factories in facing Coronavirus

Riyadh, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef visited the second industrial city in Riyadh, where he was received by Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Eng. Osama bin Abdulaziz Al-Zamil and Director General of MODON ENG. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Salem and second industrial city officials.

During his tour, Al-Khorayef inspected the factory of the Arabian Medical Products Manufacturing Company (ENAYAH), which has an area of 12,600 m² and among its most important products: medical isolation supplies, face masks and surgical clothing; the factory of the National Medical Products Company Limited, which has a total area of 20,000 M² and among its most important products: reagents and medical supplies; the factory of Saudi Mais Company For Medical Products, which produces antibiotics, in addition to laboratory tubes and medical reagents, located on an area of 20,000 m², all of which are Saudi investments.

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources listened to a detailed explanation about the preparations of these medical factories, where they operate according to their maximum production capacity throughout 24 hours 7 days a week, in order to increase the volume of their products in the local market, which is witnessing a rapid growth in demand due to the conditions of the current stage and related precautionary measures to reduce the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). The visit also included Herfy Bakery Factory and Al-Shareef Factory for Carton Containers.

He expressed his happiness at the preparations and capabilities he had witnessed, stressing to provide all support for these factories to meet the demand.
