Baghdad, Iranian Oil Minister Pekin Zangana announced
today, Wednesday, that his country refuses to hold any meeting of “OPEC
+” in the absence of a clear project and an expected result of such
negotiations with regard to the oil market.
Zangana said in a speech addressed to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries “OPEC”, that “the mysterious circumstances surrounding the organization of the next ministerial meeting of OPEC and countries outside it give me great concern.”
The “OPEC +” coalition is scheduled to hold a video conference on Thursday, after US President Donald Trump said last week that Saudi Arabia and Russia agreed to an unprecedented reduction of between 10 and 15 million barrels of oil per day, which ranges between 10% and 15% of supplies of crude oil.
