Egyptian Stock Exchange Retreated at Closing

Cairo, The indexes of the Egyptian stock exchange recorded collective slump, at the closing session of today’s trading, amid looking forward for announcements of the first quarter businesses’ results for the listed companies, among investors, coincidently with the portfolios restructuring operations, with the advent of the second quarter of the year.
The market capital of the listed companies in the stock exchange stood at the 646.02 billion Egyptian pounds at the closing, following a total trading of 2.1 billion Egyptian pounds.
The main index of the stock exchange EGX 30 ended the transactions today losing 1.4 per cent, at 10417.15 points, while the index of the small and medium shares or EGX 70 lost 1.02 per cent, recording 1993.47 points and the EGX 100, the broader index dropped about 1.19 per cent of its value to close at the level of 2927.83 points.
