4.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes New Zealand’s Lower North Island

Wellington: A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck New Zealand's lower North Island on Wednesday, the country's geoscience agency reported, describing the tremor as moderate.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the epicenter was located 20 kilometers south of Hastings in the Hawke's Bay Region, at a depth of 30 kilometers. No immediate reports of damage were received.
