Kidana: Kidana Development Company-the master developer of the Holy Sites and the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites-continues to operate the mist and water supply systems as part of its distinctive operational initiatives implemented in partnership with the non-profit sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the aim is to enhance pilgrims’ comfort and elevate the quality of the spiritual experience during the Hajj season. The mist system comprises five operational stations supplying more than 6,000 mist columns, with a production capacity reaching 1,500 cubic meters per hour. It is designed to cool the atmosphere and reduce temperatures in the Holy Sites, thereby creating a suitable environment that enables pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
As for the water supply system, it includes five stations connected to more than 25,000 chilled drinking-water taps, strategically distributed across multiple locations to meet pilgrims’ needs and ensure the availability of pure drinking water. This enhances the efficiency of supporting services and provides a comprehensive means of comfort for pilgrims.
These efforts are part of Kidana’s operational initiatives to develop the Holy Sites in line with the highest standards of quality and sustainability. They embody the company’s commitment to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by providing technical and engineering solutions that enhance.
