The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, met in his office today, Monday, with the British Ambassador to Baghdad, Mark Bryson Richardson.

The National Security Chencellry said in a statement, “They discussed the latest developments in the political and security situation at the international and regional levels, in addition to ways to strengthen relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom.”

Al-Araji stressed, “The importance of the world working to calm down and reduce the escalation of crises between countries, noting that the Russian-Ukrainian war must end through dialogue and diplomatic channels, in order to spare the world the tragedies of wars and their repercussions.”

The two sides also discussed “the continuation of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of training, exchange of experiences, and cybersecurity.”
