Riyadh: Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, who also leads the medical and surgical team of the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program, today visited the Somali conjoined twins Rahma and Ramla at King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh. Al Rabeeah assessed the twins’ medical condition as an initial step towards evaluating the feasibility of a separation surgery.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the visit follows the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Somali conjoined twins, along with their parents, had arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh from Somalia the previous morning.
