Al-Sudani discusses with Macron by phone the implementation of the terms of the strategic partnership agreement / Expanded

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, received this evening, Tuesday, a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron.

During the call, via the Bayan account of the Sudani media office, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, implement the terms of the strategic partnership agreement signed between the two countries, and develop relations at the economic, cultural, security and military levels, especially the file of contracts for the purchase of radars from the French company Thales, which was voted on by the Council of Ministers today, which will enable Iraq to tighten its control and impose its full sovereignty over Iraqi airspace.

During the call, the Prime Minister offered his condolences to the French President over the fall of the French soldier who participated in an Iraqi operation targeting the terrorist organization ISIS, in which French military advisors participated.

The call also witnessed discussions on preparations for holding the Baghdad Conference / 2023 for economic integration and regional cooperation, and the official visit that the French President will pay to Baghdad soon, in addition to exchanging views on the latest regional and international developments.
