Cairo: The Arab-African Energy Regulators Conference 2024 commenced today at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo. Organized in collaboration with the Arab Electricity Regulatory Forum (AERF) and the African Forum for Utility Regulators (AFUR), the event has attracted representatives from electricity regulatory bodies across 20 African nations and 15 Arab countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the two-day conference aims to advance the development of effective regulatory frameworks for public utilities. Discussions will focus on harmonizing regulatory policies, fostering collaboration, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices between the Arab and African energy regulatory forums.
