Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed: “The Zionist entity’s attacks on the southern suburb of Beirut are a crime against humanity and a war crime, and show that this entity is the biggest threat to regional and international peace.”
Araghchi said, in a press statement following the new attacks by the Zionist entity on the Beirut suburb: “The martyrdom of more than 43 thousand people and the injury of more than 93 thousand others, in addition to the displacement of more than two million people and the destruction of hundreds of thousands of residential, infrastructure, medical and educational facilities, as happened in the Gaza Strip in less than a year, indicates crimes against humanity, genocide, ethnic cleansing and war crimes committed in the shadow of the silence and inaction of the international community and countries that claim human rights.”
He added: “The inability or unwillingness of the international community and the supporters of the Zionist entity to stop its crimes in the Gaza Str
ip has made it more impudent than before, this time against the Lebanese people by turning communications technologies into weapons and attacks that target and kill many innocent people.” He called on the UN Security Council to put an end to its indifference and inaction by taking serious measures to stop the killing machine of the Zionist entity. He also called for an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as soon as possible to address this situation.
