China’s Stock Markets Fall Sharply

Beijing– Chinese stock markets are suffering losses in view of new concerns about China’s economy and an extension of the coronavirus curfews to the capital, Beijing, the dpa reported.

The Shanghai Composite Index plunged 5.13% to 2,928 points at the close of trading, its lowest level in two years. Meanwhile, the Shenzhen Component Index fell as much as 6.08% to 10,379 points. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index also came under pressure, falling 3.69% to 19 876 points.
