Riyadh: The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST), in collaboration with The Garage (Disrupt), hosted the “Demo Day” event, celebrating the graduation of 20 startups from seven countries. This initiative aims to connect startups and young entrepreneurs in the space industry with investors, encouraging innovative solutions to benefit both local and international entrepreneurs and strengthening the space sector ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event took place in Riyadh, where The Garage (Disrupt) featured innovative solutions in satellite communications, orbital sustainability, and AI-driven technologies, among other advancements related to space. The initiative seeks to emphasize the role of entrepreneurs and startups in providing innovative ideas and increasing their chances to secure investments and strategic partnerships, contributing to the development and growth of their projects and creating investment opportunities in the space sector.
The “Demo Day” ev
ent is an integral part of the Space Tech Incubation Program, a CST initiative under the Space Entrepreneurship Alliance (SEA) umbrella. This program is conducted in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), The Garage, the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), MindCloud, and Mach49. It is a collective effort to build a strong infrastructure that supports entrepreneurs, fosters innovation in the space sector, and empowers national talent and capabilities while utilizing global expertise.
