The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) released a press statement today inviting the public to provide feedback on the document “Regulations for Establishing and Providing Telecommunications Services in Real Estate.”

According to the press release, these regulations aim to oversee the processes and assign the responsibilities of land, facility developers, and telecommunications service providers.

According to CST, the main goal of the regulations is to guarantee the delivery of top-notch, long-lasting telecommunications services in real estate, encourage competition to offer superior performance and choices for users, and set benchmarks for implementing infrastructure to minimize construction work and address environmental impacts based on global best practices.

The document details the guidelines developers must comply with when establishing and providing telecommunications services to their real estate properties. These provisions apply to licensed infrastructure-based service provi
ders, fixed telecommunications service providers, and wholesale service providers, according to CST.

The commission urges all relevant parties, including licensed service providers, land and facility developers, and major national projects, to submit their feedback by September 26, 2024, using the commission’s regulations platform: https://regulations.citc.gov.sa/en/Pages/PublishedPublicConsultations.aspx#/PublishedPublicConsulationDetails/56.
