Saudi Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture chaired the Kingdom's delegation at the 31st session of the GCC Cooperation Committee.
The meeting discussed ways to support the agricultural sector in the member states, and ways to achieve food security.
It agreed a number of recommendations emphasizing the importance of achieving food security and the sustainability of the natural resources of the GCC countries.
Also, it recommended the formation of a team of specialists to be headed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prepare a vision for the establishment of a Gulf bank for genetic assets.
