Cairo: The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) announced today that it is participating, as part of the Saudi pavilion, in the 12th World Urban Forum, organized by United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in Cairo, Egypt, from November 4 to 8, to showcase its role in preserving the historical, cultural and urban heritage, and in overseeing the implementation of vital initiatives and projects in the field.
According to Saudi Press Agency, DGDA issued a press release informing that through such projects and initiatives, it aims to realize a vision that transcends traditional urban development. By embracing a dynamic, multifaceted approach, DGDA ‘ensures continuous advancement and modernization, ultimately striving for prosperity for the region and its residents’, said the release.
Diriyah is at the forefront of efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals, particularly that of “making cities inclusive and safe”.
