Doha, The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Media Ministers held their 27th meeting in Doha today, led by Qatar Media Corporation Chairman Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani.
The GCC ministers discussed several issues related to media cooperation among the GCC countries, including the enactment of regulatory controls for electronic commercial advertising mechanisms on social-media sites and platforms in member states, and developing an awareness-raising media plan that protects morals and instills Gulf values and identity.
They also discussed several issues of GCC media cooperation, the production of a joint radio drama, and radio programs targeting youth and their interests in technology, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy.
