Minister of Environment Nizar Amidi confirmed that: The government is continuing to implement plans, programs and projects to confront climate change.

He said in a speech during his participation in the Tenth International Vinsky Conference on Environment and Climate Change in St. Petersburg, Federal Russia, that: The Iraqi government and the Ministry of Environment stress the importance of activating serious cooperation between the Ministry, international organizations and the international community for participatory work and mutual support.

Amidi added: "The goal of cooperation is to develop plans, programs and strategies to ensure the optimal implementation of policies and projects."
