Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) and the UAE's Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation and integrate their statistical efforts, aiming to build institutional capabilities to serve shared objectives.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the signing was witnessed by Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, and UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Mohammed Al Nahyan.

The agreement facilitates the cooperative exchange of knowledge and technical expertise, the sharing of statistical awareness programs and public communication strategies, facilitating expert visits, and organizing joint conferences, seminars, and workshops.
