Riyadh: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi welcomed the decision issued today by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which calls on the Israeli occupying forces to immediately stop their military attack and any other offensive action in Rafah.

Albudaiwi said that this decision, issued by the highest judicial body of the United Nations, reflects the international community’s commitment to international law and justice and enhances the protection of the rights of the Palestinian people.

Moreover, he emphasized the full support of the GCC countries for the Palestinian people in their struggle to obtain their legitimate rights and establish their state. He said the GCC also calls on the international community, with all its organizations and institutions, to mount pressure on the Israeli occupying forces in order to take the necessary measures to ensure their compliance with these decisions and to stop their hostile and brutal acts against the Palestinian people.
