Jeddah, Mar. 22 (BNA): Saudi Arabia’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Visit Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Bijawi said that serving the pilgrims is an honor for the Kingdom, its government, and its people, and they are always keen on early planning for it with scientific methods and all potential to ensure the best results.
He was speaking at a session devoted to measuring and analyzing the performance of services provided to pilgrims on the second day of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition held in Jeddah.
The ministry has a vast technical system that processes all the procedures of pilgrims and Umrah performers and their providers, he added.
“We have performance indicators that show the complete readiness to provide an outstanding experience for the pilgrims,” he said.
Vice President for Quality and Traveler Experience at the General Authority of Civil Aviation Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Dahmash, said that their goal during has lately been to ensure the Guests of the Most Merciful (Dhoyouf Al Rahman) have the shortest waiting period in the various stages of the Hajj trip.
“We launched a return initiative that enables pilgrims to complete their travel procedures at the headquarters accommodation to the airport,” he said.
Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, Dr. Turki bin Sulaiman Al Omar said they seek to provide services of very high standards to the pilgrims.
“We also have relied on technology to reach the pilgrims and provide them with services and measure the impact through feedback,” he said.
Chief Strategy Officer of the pilgrims’ service program Amer Hassen Al Ghamdi said they have very high ambitions to serve the pilgrims.
“We have three goals in the pilgrims service program, on top of which comes the increase of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, whether from home or abroad,” he said.
“In 2030, we aim to reach 30 million pilgrims from abroad. Before the pandemic, we reached 8 million pilgrims annually, and there is an annual indicator to gradually increase the numbers.”
The second goal is to improve the quality of services with the participation of numerous sectors and authorities.
“We seek to reach advanced levels on the scale of satisfaction and quality of services,” he said.
The third goal is to enrich the experiencecnot only to visiting the Holy Places but also historical sites.
“In 2030, we aim to prepare 40 historical and Islamic sites, including the site of the Battle of Uhud and many others”.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Tawafa Company for Pilgrims of Arab Countries Maher Saleh Jamal Al Adeed said they were working to educate pilgrims about the nature of the pilgrims’ journey, which contributes to making it smooth and easy for “the Guests of the Most Merciful.
