Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a forecast predicting hot to extremely hot weather conditions in the Eastern Region today, along with dusty and active winds. These conditions are expected to extend to parts of Najran, Riyadh, Madinah, and Makkah regions, significantly reducing horizontal visibility to near zero along the coastal road leading to Jazan. Thunderstorm clouds accompanied by active winds are also likely to form over parts of Jazan and Aseer regions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northerly to northwesterly at speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h in the northern part, potentially reaching up to 45 km/h in the central part. In the southern part, the winds will shift to westerly to northwesterly at 25 to 50 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea are anticipated to vary from half a meter to one meter in the north, up to one and a half meters in the central part, and from one to two and a half meters in the south. The sea conditions will range from calm to moderate in the northern and central parts, and moderate to rough in the south.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds are expected to be westerly to northwesterly at 15 to 40 km/h in the northern and central parts, and easterly to northeasterly at 10 to 25 km/h in the south. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the north and center, and from half a meter to one meter in the south. The sea conditions are forecasted to be calm to moderate in the northern and central parts, and calm in the southern part.
