On Wednesday morning, Israeli warplanes launched air strikes on sites in the Gaza Strip, amid tension in Al-Aqsa Mosque, after it was stormed by the Israeli police, which sparked Arab condemnations.

Press sources stated that Israeli warplanes launched air raids on the Gaza Strip, one of which targeted a military site west of Gaza City, and that the warplanes raided more than once a site of Al-Qassam Brigades affiliated with Hamas in the Nusseirat refugee camp in the center of the Strip.

For its part, the Israeli army issued a statement saying that the planes raided a site for the production of weapons and another for the manufacture and storage of weapons for the Hamas movement.

Israeli police forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds, at dawn on Wednesday, and attacked its worshipers, which led to injuries among them.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said in a statement that “seven injuries occurred during clashes outside the walls of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It added that it had taken two injuries to the hospital, and said that the injuries were caused by “(rubber) bullets and a beating.”

The official Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, stated that the Israeli police arrested more than 400 worshipers during the storming of Al-Aqsa.
