The Land Patrols of the Border Guard in Al-Ardah Sector of the Jazan Region have thwarted an attempt to smuggle 200 kilograms of khat. Initial legal procedures have been completed, and the seized substances have been handed over to the relevant authorities.
Security authorities urge both citizens and residents in Saudi Arabia to promptly report any suspicious activities related to drug smuggling or trafficking. Informants can report such activities by calling 911 if in Makkah, Riyadh, or the Eastern Regions, or 999 from other locations within the Kingdom. Alternatively, they can contact the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) by calling 995 or emailing 995@gdnc.gov.sa. All reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
