Riyadh: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) has launched a video series to raise linguistic awareness by providing engaging and accessible Arab language content.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative, spelled as ‘Kalamona’ and literally translated into ‘Our Words,’ was announced during KSGAAL’s participation at the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) conference 2025. The series, which will be published on digital platforms, provides short video clips that do not exceed two minutes. They will feature more than 50 scholars and specialists in the Arabic language and its sciences from around the Arab world, discussing diverse linguistic insights and knowledge to elevate the language’s status in various cultural spheres.
The series plans to produce over 500 video clips addressing all topics related to the Arabic language, such as common linguistic errors and simplification of grammatical rules, as well as discussions on Arabic dictionaries, dialects, discourse analysis, and issues of linguistic identity. It will also cover the relationship between Arabic and other languages and explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the language, highlighting the importance of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
Through the initiative, KSGAAL aims to simplify linguistic concepts and convey the nuances and beauty of the language in a creative manner suitable for specialists and non-specialists. This makes the series an enjoyable knowledge reference for anyone wishing to explore the Arabic language in a modern and accessible way. It also enhances the Kingdom’s role in serving Arabic, preserving the language purity, and showcasing its development across various fields.
KSGAAL is committed to supporting the Arabic language and enhancing its presence locally and globally through diverse initiatives aimed at promoting it, facilitating its learning, and highlighting its beauty and adaptability to contemporary times.
