KSrelief Inaugurates 2nd Phase of a Project to Distribute Food Aid to Victims of Floods and Needy in Afghanistan

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), inaugurated on Thursday the 2nd phase of a project to distribute food assistance to those affected by the floods and the neediest families in Afghanistan for 2022-2023, in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The relief aid was delivered in the presence of the Director of the OIC Mission in Afghanistan, Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Ayyash, and the head of the emergency department at the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Mohammad Saleh Akhundzada.

The OIC mission director in Afghanistan underlined the importance of the KSrelief-funded relief project in alleviating the suffering of the Afghan people, adding that the project aims to distribute 11,000 food baskets, benefiting 11,000 families in various states of Afghanistan.

Akhundzada expressed his appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for providing this assistance, which will contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Afghan people.
