Labour Minister opens fifth Foulath Conference

Minister of Labour, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, has affirmed that the fast-paced global scientific and technological advancements require more efforts in the occupational health and safety field. He pointed out the need to create a generation of competencies capable of keeping abreast of changes and developing the vocational health and safety system.

The Minister of Labour was speaking as he patronized today the opening of the fifth Foulath Conference on health, environment and occupational safety, which is organized by Foulath Group from June 4 to 8.

Themed “Safety the Responsibility of All”, the event is being organized by the company in its headquarters in Hidd industrial city, in the presence of its Chief Executive, Dilip George, and with the participation of establishments from Bahrain and beyond.

The conference spotlights the best practices to create healthy and safe work environments. It also discusses the best contemporary studies in this regard.

The Minister of Labour pointed out the kingdom’s efforts to curb occupational diseases and incidents, stressing their remarkable decrease from 2016 to 2022.

Foulath Group Chief Executive, Dilip George, commended keenness of the Ministry of Labour to promote the culture of occupational health and safety. He highlighted the company’s efforts to boost and apply the occupational health and safety regulations.
