Mass Demonstrations In Istanbul In Solidarity With Gaza And Condemning The Israeli Attacks

Istanbul The city of Istanbul witnessed massive demonstrations last night, in solidarity with Palestine and denouncing the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

Thousands of Turks and Arabs residing in Turkey participated in a large mass gathering in the "Cekmakoy" area on the Asian side of Istanbul, raising Turkish and Palestinian flags, and chanting slogans of solidarity with Palestine and denouncing Israel and its continuing crimes against the Palestinian people.

In the Basaksehir area on the European side of the city, thousands demonstrated in solidarity with the Palestinian people and denouncing the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

At the initiative of the youth branch of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Organization (IHH), car convoys were launched in several areas of Istanbul under the slogan “Get out on the road for Palestine.”

In a related context, members of civil society organizations gathered in front of the Israeli consulate in Istanbul to denounce crimes against Palestinians.

The demonstrators placed children's toys in front of the consulate building, to express their indignation over the killing of children in Gaza as a result of Israeli attacks.
