Riyadh, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, met today with his counterpart the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Hassan Nazim, on the sidelines of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2021, opened on Thursday.

At the beginning of the meeting, bin Farhan welcomed his Iraqi counterpart, pointing out that choosing Iraq as a guest of honor for the largest book fair in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reflects the deep and solid relationship between the two brotherly countries, as well as the deep-rooted cultural and historical ties that bind the Saudi and Iraqi peoples, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance cooperation and cultural exchange between the Kingdom and Iraq in many cultural fields.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cultural cooperation between the Kingdom and the Republic of Iraq, and the unification of visions and trends in cultural affairs in international organizations.
