Riyadh: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail is scheduled to begin an official visit to the Swiss Confederation tomorrow, as part of efforts to boost partnerships in key fields that support the major urban transformation underway in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the visit comes as the Kingdom places sustainability and innovation at the core of its major development projects, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The visit aims to benefit from Switzerland's expertise in advanced construction technologies, sustainable housing, and urban development, helping to develop innovative housing and urban models that meet future aspirations.
Al-Hogail's discussions with his Swiss counterparts and private-sector representatives will focus on attracting the latest innovations in smart construction, prefabricated building systems, and digital transformation, to enhance the efficiency of Saudi Arabia's construction sector, reduce the environmental impact of projects, and improve the quality of housing products.
The visit is part of the ministry's strategy to localize leading technologies and build effective international partnerships. This strategy aims to develop a housing and construction ecosystem based on innovation and sustainability, while boosting the Kingdom's position as an influential force in the future of global urban development.
