Nepal Muslim Commission Honors Minister of Islamic Affairs with First-Class Shield

Kathmandu: The Official Muslim Commission of Nepal honored Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh with a first-class shield of appreciation during the closing ceremony of the third annual Holy Quran Competition for the year 1447 AH, held in Kathmandu.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the award recognizes the minister's efforts in sponsoring religious programs, supporting Quranic competitions, and promoting the values of moderation and balance. The shield was received on behalf of the religious attach© at the Saudi embassy in India by Bader Alanazi, who oversees the ministry's work in Nepal.

The ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Nepal Saad Abu Haimed and Muslim Commission of Nepal Chairman Mahammadin Ali. This recognition reflects the Nepalese community's appreciation for the Kingdom's initiatives in serving the Holy Quran and its people, and for the efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in organizing programs focused on memorization, recitation, and intonation.

It further underscores the Kingdom's longstanding commitment to spreading the values of tolerance, strengthening the principles of moderation and coexistence, and reinforcing its leading role in serving Islam and Muslims around the world.
