NWC Launches Water Purification Plant in Al-Artawiya to Serve 14,000 Beneficiaries

Al-Artawiya: The National Water Company’s (NWC) Central Cluster announced in a press release today the completion and operation of the drinking water purification plant in Al-Artawiyah Center in Al-Majmaah Governorate, Riyadh Region. The plant has a daily distribution capacity of 5,000 cubic meters and costs more than SAR27 million. It will serve over 14,000 beneficiaries.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the company said that the project includes the construction of an underground tank with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters and a water-filling station.



The release stated that the pumping of desalinated water at Al-Artawiya Center will be increased to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, water tankers will be provided around the clock from the filling station to supply Al-Artawiya Center and its neighboring centers.



The company mentioned that the project is part of its efforts to increase operational efficiency, strengthen the water distribution system, ensure water security, and provide sustainable water services in all cities and governorates in the Kingdom according to the approved schedules.



NWC emphasized that it adheres to the highest quality standards when implementing its projects to achieve its desired goals.
