The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) secretary-general's special envoy to Afghanistan and assistant secretary-general for humanitarian, social and cultural affairs, Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakheet, met with the Republic of Pakistan Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar in the capital city of Islamabad. The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest as well as continuing cooperation to promote stability and progress in Afghanistan. During the meeting, Ambassador Bakheet delivered a formal written message from OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha to the Pakistani foreign minister regarding the latest developments in the OIC's work and activities in Afghanistan to support the Afghan people.
