Madinah Dates Season officials issued a press release announcing the opening of registrations for the Werth Camp, which aims to raise awareness about traditional Saudi crafts and arts, particularly the art of palm weaving and traditional architecture, while focusing on environmental preservation through the recycling of palm waste.
The 28-day camp will commence on September 19 in one of Madinah’s farms and will consist of theoretical and practical training, lectures and workshops on traditional arts, with a spotlight on reviving the art of palm weaving.
This camp is a part of the events accompanying the Madinah Dates Season, which give local artisans the chance to share their creativity and craftsmanship with the community.
