Religious Affairs Presidency Enhances Women’s Roles at Two Holy Mosques during Hajj

Mecca: The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has reinforced the enrichment pathways of the Women’s Affairs Agency at the Two Holy Mosques by expanding women’s participation in the religious service ecosystem, under Islamic guidelines, to serve female pilgrims and enrich their experience intellectually, educationally, culturally, and spiritually.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the agency has begun expanding its activities for the 1446 AH Hajj season, launching more than 20 enrichment initiatives tailored to women’s needs and organizing 10 enrichment meetings.



President of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais noted that the presidency has incorporated female-focused enrichment pathways into the operational plan for the 1446 AH Hajj, in line with Sharia regulations. He stressed the presidency’s commitment to empowering the women’s sector with qualified Saudi female cadres, capable of guiding, instructing, and raising awareness among female pilgrims. The president added that female cadres’ roles include teaching rituals and acts of worship, responding to religious inquiries, teaching Quran memorization, and helping correct recitation.
